By special request, here is a quick article about Kingdom Hearts 3:

“Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is being remade for the PlayStation 2, dubbed Kingdom Hearts: Re:Chain of Memories. The remake includes polygonal 3D battles and worlds using the same level of graphics as Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, as well as voice acting, while gameplay will stay exclusively the same. But, the voice acting will be only in the hallways between the world floors. So the Disney worlds will not have voice-acting. The remake also includes new cutscenes that were not in the original game and the Reaction Command from Kingdom Hearts II. It also includes the battle with Organization member Zexion as a playable battle. (It was only a cutscene the GBA release) It will be released as the second disc of Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ in Japan. The game will be released on March 29, 2007 in Japan.[1] Several independent sources state that a release in North America will occur in Fall 2007[4], with no confirmation from Square Enix.”

360cooler.jpg

The “Gamexpert Cooler King” will both cool your Xbox 360 and allow you to connect it to “up to 4 media players at the same time”. While I’m not sure exactly how the latter could be useful, the built in 4 port USB hub could be useful. And while there have been problems with other 360 coolers, this one seems to work well enough, or so I’ve heard. It’s available here for 17.99 euros, or about 23.24 US dollars.

Today, January 26th, Nintendo launched the Wii News Channel. Contrary to many rumors, this is actually NOT a paid service. It’s free. Here’s a video I made of a few of the features:

It’s pretty awesome. You can either just browse a collection of news clips, or, even better, see a weather-channel style globe that you can spin around in with the Wii-mote and click floating pics for news stories. And these aren’t little paragraphs, they’re full articles from popular newspapers like The Washington Post and The New York Times. And when you click on one of the floating pictures an article pops up and minimizes the map to the side. So as you read a story on the left the location of its source is on the right and pictures are embedded in the article. Another great feature is the slide show, which scrolls through the globe and displays random news headlines on your screen. It’s really great, but a hard to describe. So just watch the video.

Added by Branman10:
The Wii news channel launched today and you can now check recent news right on your internet connected Wii. You can check National News, International News, Sports, Arts/Entertainment, Business, Health/Science, and Technology headlines with the press of a button. You can also watch a slide show that goes through all of the news articles, and see a full globe to see were things are happening right now. Its really cool and now all of the Wii channels are launched! GO WII!!!!

psp-map-gps1.jpg
What’s next from Sony you may ask. Well, the brains over at their labs or wherever they work have come up with the idea of turning your psp into a gps device. You just put this little adapter on your psp and just like that, you’ve got gps. I think it’s pretty cool!

What are the top 3 games everyone is waiting for? For each of the 3 next-gen systems I gave 1 game that’s the most anticipated. Here we go:

Halo 3

Xbox 360: Halo 3
Halo and Halo 2 were two of the greatest games in gaming history. So why not Halo 3?

Super Smash Bros.

Wii: Super Smash Bros. Brawl
The Super Smash Bros. series have both been classics. With the new type of controllers the Wii has, this game looks amazing.

PS3: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Though I don’t have a PS3, this games looks like it will have a different type of gameplay with some of the best graphics on the console to date.

There are so many games to chose from and it’s hard to narrow it down to only 1 for each system! Leave a comment with your top 3 anticipated games if you feel otherwise. Thanks!

Rumor has it that the owner’s of Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II will be making Keyboard Hero, Drummer Hero, a new Guitar Hero (rumors also say that they may make full-sized wooden guitars) and Microphone Hero. All this news made me think… Will we be able to play all 4 instruments at once? Although I have not heard or seen anything else about this, it seems like a cool idea.

You saw the 360 laptop, now take a look at the Wii laptop. Made by Benjamin Heckendorn, the same man behind the XBox 360 laptop and many other crazy (but cool) inventions, has made a Nintendo Wii into a laptop, complete with built in speakers, a 16:9 widescreen display, GameCube controller port, and sensor bar!

Sony Rumor

Rumors say that the PSP “Cobalt” will include two UMD drives, Two analog sticks, and a “200% Brighter Screen.” Unfortunately, the addition of the UMD drives, Memory Stick and 8GB of flash seems pretty far out. Either Sony will lose the UMD and try for all downloadable games, or it sticks with its method of making money off of consumers on Memory Stick purchases. Hopefully Sony will come to a good conclusion.
