1.png2.pngLook at these pictures of google.co.kr (click for larger version). In the Korean version of Google, the images change when you move your mouse over them. There’s even a little animation. Why doesn’t the US version of google.com do that? Also, when you type something into the search box in the Korean version, you get suggestions kind of like you do at ask.com.

A new show on Channel 7 called ‘Caveman’ will be appearing soon. The show is based on Gieco commercials and the Geico caveman, obviously. This goes to show how Geico has created an advertising dynasty and has become known worldwide, not only because of thier service, but more because of thier commercials. It will be interesting to see what people’s reactions will be on the show but only time will tell. So tune in and see whatcha think…It’s ’so easy a caveman can do it.’

Several Monthes ago “Kelso” made a post about rumours stating that there could be a keyboad, new guitar, drum, and singing hero. Well That has become a reality but all combined to be the new game “Rock Band”!
Rock Band , coming out for the XBOX 360 and Playstations (sorry wii), combines Guitar Hero with Drumming, and Singing. The guitar looks more realistic than previous Guitar Hero’s with 10 different frets this time. 5 on top and 5 on the bottom for special solos. But, old guitar hero controllers will be compatible. The song list consists of plenty of rock songs from “The Hives” to “Metallica” But don’t expect this game to be cheap. Prices will range from $150-$200 for bundle packs. Expect this game to come out Early November!

This is my first post in a while, so I’ll make it worth reading.

About a week ago I went to see the movie Hot Rod. When I saw the previews, I was convinced it was just another comedy worth watching and nothing special really. Yet as the previews ended and the movie began I thought to myself, “This is stupid…I already know what’s going to happen! They already showed this in the commercials!” I wasn’t to thrilled for what I had paid for. But as the movie progressed I found myself laughing my head off! The plot is about a guy named Rod who has help pay for his step-dads heart surgery so he can beat him up and prove that he really is a man. To earn enough money to pay for a heart tansplant for his step-dad, Rod attempts to clear 15 school buses on a dirtbike. Can he do it?

From the random dance scenes, ‘Cool Beans!’, and all the way until the very end I would have to consider this movie one of the funniest comedys of our time. On my list, it by far passes Napolean Dynamite, Blades of Glory and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Saturday Night Live regular Andy Samberg plays his part to near perfection.

Overall, I highly recommend this movie if your in for a good laugh (or 10).

My overall rating is 10/10 no doubt

SnoDeck
You may have a hard time pulling off some tricks on this board, but this board will help you get back up the hill… Thanks to students at The University of Waterloo, the deck is powered by some electric drill motors, has a turning radius of 2 meters and also has a kill switch to prevent the board from wiping out spectators when the rider falls off. It is still in development and testing by the students… So until it comes out you will just have to watch this video. Here.

pigion.jpgScientists in China have experimented with brain-motor skill manipulation to force the pigeons to comply with thier commands. Electrodes were planted into the brain of these pigeons to control their movement (up, down, left right) during flight. Not sure how they control them but kinda creepy in a way.

Snow-Bot
The Japanese known making useful robots to do dirty tasks for humans who would rather park it at home, the Yuki-taro autonomous snowplow is another type of machine taking care of the business people can’t. In a joint effort between Niigata-based organizations, the snowbot was made to run by itself and tear through huge amounts of snow to make areas clear. The 900-pound machine has a yellow and black shell, walks about on tracks, and features a wide opening to eat up the fallen snow, compress it into small blocks, and then shoot out from the device’s rear.
