I noticed last night that the hit counter on my homepage was approaching 10,000. I checked in this morning and it was at 10,004! My 10,000 visitor must have came overnight.

I would also just like to mention that that number only includes visits to the homepage. If someone found a specific blog post on Google or just went to pakman20.com/blog instead of going to the homepage and clicking the link, it wasn’t counted. Also, for a short period of time, there was not hit counter at all on my site. After I had finished with my redesign I didn’t like the way the old counter looked, so I took a while looking for a site that would give me a new one. Then I just started it at the number the old one ended at.

Several Monthes ago “Kelso” made a post about rumours stating that there could be a keyboad, new guitar, drum, and singing hero. Well That has become a reality but all combined to be the new game “Rock Band”!
Rock Band , coming out for the XBOX 360 and Playstations (sorry wii), combines Guitar Hero with Drumming, and Singing. The guitar looks more realistic than previous Guitar Hero’s with 10 different frets this time. 5 on top and 5 on the bottom for special solos. But, old guitar hero controllers will be compatible. The song list consists of plenty of rock songs from “The Hives” to “Metallica” But don’t expect this game to be cheap. Prices will range from $150-$200 for bundle packs. Expect this game to come out Early November!

Two funny sites about cats:

KittenWar.com -
picture-2.pngYou see 2 pictures of different cats, then you click on the one you like better. Simple and gets boring fast, but worth a laugh to see the funny-looking kittens.

ICANHASCHEEZBURGER.com -
picture-3.pnglolzcats.jpgteh funstest. The best of lolzcats.com organized neatly in a easy to navigate blog. lolcatz make the funniest single-picture comics but its impossible to navigate their site. icanhascheeseburger is much better.

“You literally just click on the application’s icon and the programs opens right there for you on the screen… in a matter of minutes”

Ahhh yes. This kind of precision and dedication is exactly why I still use Windows 95. Yes, this is a prime example of how Microsoft is painstakingly porting last decade’s technology into our modern computers for our own enjoyment. Yes, MS Paint is the future.

I left for about a week to the Jersey shore. It was pretty fun, but I have over 24 bug bites (I can’t exactly see my own back, but it itches like crazy so I’m sure there are a few more). So now that I’m back I can finally write about the new iMacs.

I was wrong- we were all wrong to a certain extent. Almost all predictions revolved around brushed aluminum, but each in a different way. I, and many others, wanted the “chin” at the bottom to disappear. That big gap below the screen, where the Apple logo is. I also thought Apple would round the top and bottom edges so the iMac would look exactly like their cinema displays. But, I was wrong.

Although the iMac still has its huge chin, it actually looks good. The “aluminum and glass” design works well. Apple has really done a great job refining their product line. I think everything Apple will make in the future would be simple, bold, clean, and professional. As Jobs mentioned in the keynote, he wants Apple products to have a sense of exclusivity and elegance while still being affordable.

This is my first post in a while, so I’ll make it worth reading.

About a week ago I went to see the movie Hot Rod. When I saw the previews, I was convinced it was just another comedy worth watching and nothing special really. Yet as the previews ended and the movie began I thought to myself, “This is stupid…I already know what’s going to happen! They already showed this in the commercials!” I wasn’t to thrilled for what I had paid for. But as the movie progressed I found myself laughing my head off! The plot is about a guy named Rod who has help pay for his step-dads heart surgery so he can beat him up and prove that he really is a man. To earn enough money to pay for a heart tansplant for his step-dad, Rod attempts to clear 15 school buses on a dirtbike. Can he do it?

From the random dance scenes, ‘Cool Beans!’, and all the way until the very end I would have to consider this movie one of the funniest comedys of our time. On my list, it by far passes Napolean Dynamite, Blades of Glory and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Saturday Night Live regular Andy Samberg plays his part to near perfection.

Overall, I highly recommend this movie if your in for a good laugh (or 10).

My overall rating is 10/10 no doubt

This video was actually aired on November 1, 2006. Imagine what technological advancements have come in the past year, and what “they” can do now…

Whoever is directing this, please, stop for a moment and think. Just think about it. Is the world really ready to end? Please, just stop. Do not make this movie. Please.

Engadget.com revealed on the 31st that they have been invited to an “Apple ‘product presentation for Mac’ at Apple Town Hall in Cupertino next week. The event gets started on the morning of Tuesday, August 7th, and while we weren’t promised an appearance by El Jobso, Apple was, shockingly enough, very open and clear about the fact that this is going to be a press gathering for Mac products (and Mac products only)”.

Looks like Apple will be updating the Mac before the iPod. So I was wrong about the order, but I was right saying that August 7th will be all about the Mac. Will everything else I said about the brushed aluminum iMacs be true also?
