A few days ago, Nov 26th, terrorists with weapon and grenade have been targeting their action to the top five-star Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai business district. It was about 100 people have died in the area and some foreign resident in this hotel became hostages.
An online media in India, CyberMedia India Online (CIOL) reported that the terror occurred in Mumbai was also assisted by several technology equipment. This is proven as the use of satellite phones, email, GPS Map, and micro-blogging effectively helped the terrorists (Deccan Mujahedeen Group) to execute their action. Even the terrorist had claimed the terror as their action through email.
However, Multinational Technology Company is not likely disrupted by Mumbai Terror and it still undergoes its strategy in India. As Vidya Natampally, strategy director of Microsoft Research India said that Microsoft is still running to keep its commitment, to establish software development center and to operate call center in India. A German startup launched Club Cooee, a 3D instant messaging application in a closed beta stage. This service is a combination of traditional instant messaging / chatting application such as Yahoo Messenger and 3D social network such as Second Life that allows users to talk using 3D avatars to express emotions and share photos or links visually.
This application has an interesting look with the intuitive user interface and beautiful graphics. Each user can choose for their 3D avatars. The 3rd largest PC manufacturer of in the world plans to release a 10.2 inches netbook and all-in-one desktop that will compete in the market dominated by Apple and Asus. Acer said that the release of this netbook is scheduled next year to rival Asus Eee. On other side, Acer still has not confirmed any solution of cheaper all-in-one desktop to compete iMac and Eee Top, but TG Daily said that this product will also be coming soon.
This new netbook will expand the product lines of company after 8.9 inch Aspire One previously launched. This product is one of the most successful products in United States market but many vendors started to end the production of 7, 8 and 9 inches netbooks and migrated to 10.2 inch netbook production.
