
Now TuneCore offer sale service for independent films, documentaries, and concerts. Users can sell the films through iTunes with small charges. Sun Microsystems attempted to compete with Google Code and GitHub, through Kenai Project, a hosting site for open source project from Sun, which is launched in beta version. According to Nick Sieger, project engineer of Kenai, the main objective of this project is not to compete with the existing hosting sites.
Developers can become the host of their project without additional cost at the site, plus the ease of Subversion and Mercurial control system.
