
Mozilla will soon release a new version of Firefox, which can support the use of open source video software. Firefox 3.1 will be released next year and will have support tag HTML (Hyper-Text Markup Language) which will be used for attaching video feature in a web page. Firefox 3.1 will also support free video format, Ogg Theora.
Firefox developers said that the party will start working with Theora and will include a new feature in Firefox 3.1 browser. While the codes for Ogg Theora video so far is still in development and will use the common cross-platform code. When the code is finished, Firefox users don’t have to download the plug-in to play Theora video content. So, web developers do not need to use JavaScript anymore to launch the video.
